Friday 18th July - walk ***** – Landguard with Maeva including picnic – sunny and hot.

Friday equals Maeva day, I had enough time to do my exercises and take a few pics to send to the TV weather of our first sunflower and tomatoes before Mag headed over to pick Maeva up! An hour in a very hot back garden painting the decking with water and having a cuppa on our seat in the shade before I pack a picnic before driving down to The Manor end for a walk at Landguard Nature Reserve. We set off around one and it is pretty quiet, Landguard is sadly looking a little short of life with very few flowers this year not helped by the lack of rain. Maeva is content to sit in her bggy and we near the River Orwell just as a small container ship is heading out. We quickly whizz over to the sea wall to watch it leave and have fun rolling stones down the slope, Maeva loves that:) We then find a nice spot on the beach near the old pier for our picnic before I walk across the smooth sand to have fun in the small waves with Maeva, brilliant fun, we could easily have been abroard, Landguard beach is special! We then sit under the pier as the waves splash against the concrete with giggles all round! We then decide to walk back along the beach pulling Maeva backwards in the buggy all the way, not too bad as the sand is quite firm! Back along the concrete sea wall to the van before heading to Lidl where Maeva pushes the basket all the way expertely too! I then treat Maeve to a Bluey, her favourite, bubble set which we take home and enjoy in our back garden before Mag takes her home, another top Friday with Meava, great fun was had by all, but knackering!
